On May 8th, SM Group was awarded "Red Cross Society of China Fraternity Medal" at a public welfare event to commemorate the 74th World Red Cross Day in Fuzhou. On behalf of the Red Cross Society of China, Mr. Wang Ping, Vice President and Secretary General of the Red Cross Society of China, awarded the medal. The medal recognizes SM Group's outstanding contribution to COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.

In 2020, a sudden outbreak of COVID-19 swept the country. Knowing the urgent need for support in the prevention and control of the epidemic, SM group, founded by patriotic overseas Chinese Mr. Henry Sy, Sr., immediately donated five million yuan to the Red Cross for the prevention and control of the epidemic.
