In December, 2020, the largest bank in the Philippines, BDO Unibank, Inc. officially opened a representative office in Xiamen (BDO Unibank, Inc. Xiamen Representative Office ), which is designed to serve as connection for institutions, enterprises and individuals’ activities in economic, trade and financial exchanges between China and the Philippines.

The Xiamen Representative Office is located in  SM City Xiamen, with the purpose of providing customers with high-standard quality services. It is staffed with professionals who are proficient in Chinese,  English and Minnan dialect, dedicated in providing customized consulting and services. 

China has close economic ties with the Philippines, especially after the signing of the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement). The two countries, as members of the world’s largest potential free trade zone,  are expected to set up more extensive and in-depth cooperation.
