Another Golden Lily Award for SM China Recognizing again SM China’s Dedication for over 10 Years

        June 12, on the 2019 China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA) summit held in Shanghai, SM City Xiamen received the award of 2019 CCFA Golden Lily Shopping Malls – Excellent Operations, demonstrating again the great influence and performance of the mall. Ms. Lucy Xu, Fujian Regional Operations Manager for SM China, received the award.

        The 2019 CCFA Golden Lily Awards were presented after preliminary judging by industry experts, public online voting and final judging by professionals. SM City Xiamen gained the award of Excellent Operations for its great market performance, industry reputation, professional service and great customer satisfaction.

        As the first stop in China of SM Group, one of the largest integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, SM City Xiamen landed in Xiamen in 2001, became the first shopping mall in the region. Throughout the 18 years of operation since opening, SM City Xiamen insists on the customer-oriented idea of “All for You” and keeps on innovating, making sure that SM is always with the market and the customers. It still keeps the record of 120 thousands daily traffic and 500 thousands highest traffic.


        SM also works closely with its partners, by encouraging and supporting its tenants to upgrade the service, products display, advertisement as well as decorations, SM City Xiamen’s total turnover of year 2018 has reached RMB 2.65 billion. Among which, sales of Watson in SM ranked 1st in China, KFC in SM rank 2nd in China, Wal-mart in SM rank 3rd in China, Urban Revivo in SM rank 3rd in China and Uniqlo in SM ranked 10th in China.

        18 years and growing, SM has its own secrets. Aside from bringing the best service and experience to its customers, SM also pays much attention to connect to the communities and citizens.

        Since the very beginning, SM City Xiamen has brought SM Cares into the community which has been dedicating in supporting community development, sustainable environment and care for the specials. For years, SM has been hosting SM Earth Hour which raises the awareness of protecting our earth, and SM Children’s Book Reading Day which embodies the value of reading and sharing. SM China also introduced Little Free Library – international non-profit organization – to build a reading and sharing zone for children; and joined hands with CCTF (China Children and Teenagers' Foundation) in 2018 to bring love and warmth to left-behind children.

        City Bubble, the first emotions expressing plan in the city was also initiated by SM Xiamen, using interactive technology to provide a chance for stressed citizens to express freely their feelings. During the campaign, total 100 thousand people participated and 350 thousand online views for the event, SM Xiamen City Bubble also recognized by ICSC Asia-Pacific as Gold Award of Marketing Excellence –Emerging / Digital Technology.

        SM City Xiamen is highly praised for its distinguished service and quick response for emergencies. The project was the first to set special lavatory among Xiamen commercial projects. Now SM City Xiamen is equipped with facilities for disabled, smoking rooms, independent nursery rooms and blood donation station, of which, SM’s nursery rooms serves more than 15 thousand customers yearly and were awarded “Model Nursery Room” by Xiamen governmental department; SM blood donation station contributes 1/3 of the total blood donation in the city and was awarded the title of National Blood Donation Special Promotion.

        Many Xiamen citizens would also remember when SM was the only shopping mall that opened and served its customers while super typhoon Meranti hit and paralyzed the city.
