ICSC Asia-Pacific Shopping Center Awards recognizes great performance and innovations of shopping centers in marketing, social media programs, design and development. From January 20, 2018 to March 8, 2018, SM Xiamen has set two interactive machines “Lucky Bubble” as well as a giant outdoor screen that presents real-time comments in cooperation with local art team -- Seeeklab, customers could write down their feelings or emotions and the machine would generate bubbles carrying their emotions automatically, they could also express them via the outdoor screen. The whole campaign contains 3 phases –“ The Little Voice of Xiamen”, “Love @ Amoy ”and “Hello, New Life”, all of which allow depressed citizens who desperately need a vent to express their unspeakable feelings and emotions. Within nearly 3 month of the campaign, about 100,000 people join the event and more than 60,000 people expressed their feelings using the machine, “City Bubble” has become the highlight and must-see in the city.

For SM, shopping malls are not only just places that sell goods, but also places to gather positive powers, connect emotions and people. This is also why “City Bubble” was recognized the gold award under such intense competition.
